Close Auto detect water amount

In this type of watering simply select the desired soil moisture since a special algorithm takes care of necessary water amount. The algorithm gradually releases water and waits for water to entirely absorb into soil. First watering may last up to twelve hours to avoid water overflow. This type of watering is suitable for amounts from 0.5 litres to 100 litres of soil. Plant base must not be too shallow, again in order to avoid water overflow.

Moisture and water amount

This is an advanced watering type since not only soil moisture but also water amount is configured.

Watering starts when level of soil moisture drops below the level you have configured. Watering device then releases the selected water amount. Time delay option between each watering makes it possible for the soil to evenly absorb water and come in contact with moisture sensor. Only after that the device measures soil moisture once again and waters the soil if necessary. In case the number of unsuccessful watering exceeds the selected amount, watering stops and the red LED light starts blinking every 10 seconds. If amount of water is short, refill the container and water the plant manually. This will reset the device.

Watering timer

Watering timer type is most simple. The watering device releases the selected water amount each selected interval.

Close Soil moisture:

Dry soil is made up of minerals, organic material, and air pockets, called pore spaces In well aerated soils, a typical volumetric ratio would be 55% solids and 45% pore space. As water is added to the soil, the pore spaces begin to fill with water. Soil that seems slightly wet to the touch might have 60% solids, 30% pore space and 10% water. This would be an example of 10% volumetric water content. The maximum water content in this scenario is 40% because at that value, all the available pore space has been filled with water.

Most garden crops should be watered when 50-75% of plant available water has been depleted. Even though a plant will be able to survive on the remaining 25-50%, it may develop a water deficit.

Soil Texture Permanent Wilting point Soil Saturated with water
humus,peat 25% 65%
Sand 5% 15%
Loamy sand 5% 17%
Sandy clay loam 17% 44%
Loam 14% 42%
Silit loam 25% 61%

Close Delay between watering

Time delay option between each watering makes it possible for the soil to evenly absorb water and come in contact with moisture sensor. Only after that the device measures soil moisture once again and waters the soil if necessary.

Close Water amount:

You choose watering time or water amount that a watering device releases in individual watering.

Close Watering retries:

Select number of watering retries. Sometimes there is little water in container and watering needs to be repeated to achieve adequate soil moisture. If desired moisture is not achieved, the device stops watering and starts warning – red LED light starts blinking every 10 seconds.

If water container is empty, fill it and water the plant manually, which will reset watering device.
